Like a butterfly

In the warm sunlight of Winter noon,
her velvety black wings spangled with mustard
yellow, cooled my thirsty eyes. I followed her
missing a step , almost falling, unmindful of
the cut my right toe suffered.
She fluttered around, resting gently on a red
rose, careful of the thorns, the Sun smiled
The green grass bowed,
But the gentle breeze took her away.
And I sat vacant in the afternoon Sun.

Sumathi,

Yes, I can see the butterfly and the sunray on your back. I like all the verbs you used. I also like butterflies. They never sit still like us. And they keep entertaining us. We'll never be bored with them.
